I learned something new this weekend. We went camping with some friends and they set up this nice bathroom. They dug a hole in the ground and put a chair (minus the cushion you sit on) with a toilet seat attached. A large garbage sack was cut open at the bottom and tucked under the toilet seat.
Anyway, what was amazing was after you did your duty, you could throw some coffee grounds (fresh or used) onto the pile and it would neutralize the smell, somewhat, and break down what is in the hole. It is great for gardens so it should be great for the good ol' outdoors.
